Abandoned. Alone. Desperate.
Every day and on a large scale, homeless dogs and cats are starving to death, are killing each other over resources and are dying of untreated injuries or diseases. There are no words to describe their suffering.
Stray animals are literally fighting for their survival on each and every day.
In many countries, citizens have become less tolerant and dogs and cats are poisoned, hanged, stoned or shot. Countless unwanted dogs and cats end up in shelters where even the most basic care is missing. Every day we find injured animals and provide urgently needed medical care. The lucky ones are only limping. Others are missing part of their tails, ears or toes. All of them are incredibly hungry.
Our impact.
For the last 25 years, our Stray Animal Care teams are there, even when no one else helps. Together with our local partners, we have treated more than 48,000 strays around the world and sterilised and vaccinated over 280,000 animals until the end of 2023.
But our resources are limited.
